oh Julia!

For grad class this week, I’m writing a paper on Julia Child. The Smithsonian website says it beautifully: Julia’s life mission was to make sophisticated cooking possible for the home cook. While I have years ahead to master many of Julia’s skills, I am wholeheartedly on board with this very notion.

A Pear to Remember is about replacing “convenient” sodium-saturated, nutrient-deficient food with fresh, unintimidating homemade meals. The kind of meal you’ll remember, and your body will appreciate. This is a blog about great, even gourmet, food within a budget and a workweek.

I hope to see (maybe even meet) some of you this Sunday. As promised, more details on the location of my complementary savory samplings…
