one word, kid: plastic.

I received this photo recently in the mail. (One look and you’ll likely guess the sender).

Though my food is presently made out of more fresh, less pretend, ingredients, it does appear I was cooking and entertaining from an early age.

just waiting on the guests.

the scanner made this photo seem so dark. I promise I grew up with electricity.

headed to New York for the weekend to cook with friends. enjoy your dinner 🙂

I love this! One of my favorite toys growing up was my kitchen set and play food. I can’t wait to get a little kitchen set of Haley when she grows up! 🙂

  2. I had a plastic wedding cake with interchangeable layers, frosting colors, and flourishes.

I also had a pretend wedding gown.

    Lindsey,

Thanks for commenting on my foodblog!

I am most certainly an LOTR fan. When I thought of a title that has something to do with a vegetarian food, which happens to be my favorite vegetable, *and* is a nerdy Tolkien reference, I had to use it 🙂

I actually remember you in your gourmet ‘plastic’ kitchen.’ Who knew what the future was going to hold for you!!
